The first morning in the camp begun with beautiful weather. A trip to the lake of Biel was announced. At 10 o'clock our train departed from Grenchen to Biel. Here we did a promenade along the lakefront of the Bielersee enjoyed the the public park, the boats on the lake and the lovely view and had also time to have break by drinking coffee, eating ice cream or just enjoying the Sunday morning.Back in Grenchen for Luch Denise, Beat, Cornelia and Christa from the Lions Club Falkenstein had already cooked us a delicious meal - thank you very much!
In the afternoon there was the visitors day. Full of energy the last preparation was made so that the visitors could be welcomed at 2 o'clock. Proudly we showed them our location, sleepting rooms and so on. The main part of the visitors day was a discussion round done by all of us. Instead of a country presentation we gave four group discussion about the following themes: Traditions in different countries like national days, education and family structures and sports and leisure activities of young and older people. The last group presented our experiences of the first camp week. We got a lot of laughing and saw many happy faces. Together with our host families we enjoyed after this the well-prepared pie buffet, nicely arranged by the main kitchen team and Manuela&Rolf.
In the evening we Dominik , a lion from Grenchen, brought us to a restaurant in Grenchen for a Pizza. Arriving in the camp at 10 p.m it is still time to chill out.
